Welcome to a brand new wave at Tiny Wave Club. This June, my heart, pencils, and illustrations are fully dedicated to one of the most majestic, powerful, and beautiful big cats on Earth: the wild tiger.

Tigers are full of wonders. Here are a few beautiful facts that make them so unique:
→ Unique stripes: A tiger’s stripes are just like human fingerprints. No two tigers share the same pattern and their stripes aren’t just on their fur; they are actually printed on their skin!
→ Tigers can jump over 5 metres in a single leap.
→ Silent hunters: Thanks to their soft toe pads, they can walk completely silently through the forest, making them the ultimate gentle giants of the jungle.
→ A tiger’s roar can be heard up to 3 km away!
✹ Why they need our help ✹
Sadly, wild tigers are facing a quiet crisis. Due to heavy deforestation, illegal poaching, and habitat loss, there are only around 5,500 wild tigers left in the whole world. They have lost 95% of their historical range. When we protect tigers, we protect the entire forest ecosystem they live in.

→ Wildlife Protection Units: They fund active ranger patrols to dismantle illegal traps and stop poachers before it’s too late.
→ Habitat Restoration: They protect and replant key rainforest corridors so tigers have safe spaces to roam, breed, and live.

✹ 5 Small things we can do from home ✹
You don't need to be in the jungle to save wild tigers! Soft activism starts right in our daily routines:
1. Choose sustainable palm oil: Check your snack and cosmetic labels. Look for the RSPO certified logo to ensure your products don't contribute to destroying the Indonesian rainforest where tigers live.
2. Look for the FSC stamp: When buying notebooks, journals, or paper products, always choose FSC-certified or recycled paper. This guarantees the wood comes from responsibly managed forests.
3. Spread the word: Talk about wild tigers! Sharing facts with friends or posting about conservation helps keep the conversation alive. Awareness is a powerful tool.
4. Reduce, reuse, upcycle: Protecting the planet's climate protects every wild habitat. The less waste we generate, the less pressure we put on nature.
5. Support projects like this: By holding this postcard or displaying your mini-calendar on your desk, you are already funding real, on-the-ground conservation. You are part of the wave!
